Sara Silvestri, MD

Dr. Silvestri earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Allegheny College and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. After completing her residency at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, she continued working there, starting in the Emergency Department and later in another branch of medicine.
Before coming to the Sto-Rox Neighborhood Health Council in 2016 as a primary care pediatrician, Dr. Silvestri worked in a private practice office providing primary care for pediatric patients, aged newborn to 22.
A Board-Certified Pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Silvestri is on staff at the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and was recently recognized for her 10 years of service. In addition, Dr. Silvestri founded a company to help adoptive parents work through the medical aspects and challenges of adoption, is a Certified Meditation Teacher and is in the process of becoming a Certified Yoga Teacher.
